The People’s Story Museum sits on the Canongate Tolbooth, a historic landmark of Edinburgh’s Old Town. A good visit either you are interested in Scottish history or if you simply enjoy the vibrance that colors everyday life of people that anonymously shaped the city.
Three galleries, a film screening room and an original prison cell telling stories from the late 18th century until today. It has Britain’s largest collection of early reform flags and banners (from the support of political reform to the anti-apartheid movement) as well as tools, products, packaging and objects throughout the times. A small museum, free of charge and well worth finding.
