Brand new one-day conference Storyhack 2016 debuts at The Old Market next week, and looks set to be one of the arts highlights of September’s Brighton Digital Festival. The event is a full day of talks, demonstrations and dialogue about emerging technologies, with a special focus on storytelling through the immersive means of virtual reality.

Speakers include theatre makers and leading creative technologists, featuring Sam Watts with a ‘360 introduction to VR’, Robin McNicholas on engaging the senses in digital , and Simon Wilkinson on his 18-months of telling stories in VR with internationally-renowned theatre company CiRCA69. The latter part of the day turns to panel discussions on the evolution of theatre and digital, with plenty of opportunity to experience leading-edge innovations, courtesy of the #TOMtech program that’ll be running at the theatre throughout the month.

Storyhack 2016 takes place at The Old Market on Monday 12th September from 10am – 5.30 pm. Tickets are £45, or £35 concession – for more information or to book, click here.
