King Porter Stomp headline a special event at Brighton’s Synergy Centre this Saturday, with support from the dub, funk and hip hop underground. The eight-piece Brighton ska band remain one of the most exciting acts in the UK, following firmly in the footsteps of other such genre-defying festival favourites as Fat Freddy’s Drop.
Saturday’s event at the recently opened Synergy centre brings UK DMC Scratch DJ Champion JFB, and live hip hop troupe Along Came Shifty, to join the bill – with support from DJ Detta and DJ Bollocks (a favourite of the Glastonbury Snake Pit). With a late licence and a reputation for DIY parties and social consciousness, the venue makes the perfect location to party late; with a mash-up of poetics and genres you’ll find nowhere else in Brighton this weekend.
King Porter Stomp play Brighton’s Synergy Centre on Saturday 23rd April from 8pm – 2am. Tickets are £8 and £6 for concessions – for more information or to book, click here.
