Rough-and-tumble jazz group Tim Pan Band are heading to The Canteen in Stokes Croft this week to strut their quirky stuff. We think you’ll like what they’re doing.
This eclectic bunch of New Yorkers have drawn inspiration from the jazz movement that began in New Orleans and put their own sleazy NYC spin on things. Gig-goers can expect to be treated to a very particular type of cabaret jazz and blues music, full of honking ’n’ slinking horns with a touch of swing.
Tickets are totally free – it’s how The Canteen rolls – but you’d be a fool to miss out on sampling some of the goodies behind the bar.
