Together The People returns to Brighton’s Preston Park next week, for the second year of the community-orientated festival. 2016 sees the event offering the best of local arts and music as well as a selection of top names – including an exclusive performance by Brian Wilson, who’ll be performing Pet Sounds in its entirety to mark the 50th anniversary of the legendary album.
Musical highlights include Suede, The Horrors, Hiatus Kaiyote, Gaz Coombes, Turin Brakes, Songhoy Blues and Peter Hook and The Light, who’ll be giving us their take on New Order and Joy Division’s greatest hits. Local Brighton bands are also out in force, including The Rocking Horse Club, SEATS, Penelope Isles and Voodoo and the Crypts. And for those with real stamina, there’s also an after party on Saturday night, with none other than Leftfield on the decks at Concorde 2.
