A 90s revival in east London would probably have some people scoffing at the idea of hipsters in high-waisted jeans and flannel shirts, yet that scoffing will surely be put on hold when they learn of what’s happening on Friday night – Bourne & Hollingsworth presents Playback: The 90s Party.
With tongue-lodged-in-cheek, the party (at The Laundry) promises to deliver a nod to the fashion, music and films of the decade that gave us Jurassic Park and Salt ‘n’ Pepa. There’ll be special guest appearances on the night, including live music and playlists that have been specially curated to take us all back. Expect plenty of grunge, pop and hip-hop.
Everything from the drinks to the decor within the warehouse will be inspired by the 90s. There will be a number of cocktails to choose from – made by the experts at B&H – while guests challenge for the high score on Pacman or get a makeover courtesy of the hair and makeup stand.
Re-channel that inner grunge child or pop princess or technicolour raver and start the Bank Holiday Weekend in style.
Playback: The 90s Party takes place at The Laundry, 2-18 Warburton Road, London, E8 3FN. Friday 22nd – Saturday 23rd May 2015, 8pm-2am. Tickets are priced at £25 www.ticketporte.com/bandhgroup/event/playback-the-90s-party
