AHOY THERE! All aboard the SS: Atlantica and get set to sail this Saturday 28th May for an elegant soiree that will reignite all the splendour and glamour of the 1930s ocean liner. Cruise down the Thames in luxury with a night replete with live bands, floorshows, cabaret acts and dancing — oh, and of course plenty of martinis and flowing Champagne.
It was an age of romantic travel — when getting there was all the fun. Traditions were born and became entrenched on these splendid voyages: bingo, shuffleboard, art-classes, dance classes, cocktails, and more cocktails. Step back in time as the epic Silver Sturgeon will be transformed into a cruise liner circa 1931 and guests will be taken back to this era of maritime ambition and pompousness.
Entertainment for the evening is also reminiscent of a typical night aboard a ship. Live music will be provided by London’s finest and the dancefloor won’t ever be empty with all sorts of twirling, shuffling and cabaret acts. To really get a hold of the moves from this age, guests can take a dance class at 7pm to ensure they really have a spring in their step for the night.
The copious champagne and delicious classic cocktails will come courtesy of the esteemed event organisers Bourne & Hollingsworth.
The dress code is ‘At-Sea Formalwear’, so guests must be dressed to the nines in order to ensure their portside tête-à-tête and cocktail quaffing is legitimate. Ladies, don your silk, fur, and art deco jewels; and gentlemen dust off the dinner suits and iron out those collars.
Time of Embarkation: 8pm – First Cruise Departs from The Savoy Pier at 9pm (The dance class starts 7pm)
Tickets are priced at £35 for general admission and £40 for general admission + dance class
