You don’t need to love tennis for an excuse to visit Craft London. Stevie Parle’s top-notch restaurant Craft London, located directly opposite the O2 Arena, may have crafted a special menu to celebrate the ATP World Tour Finals, (taking place from 15th to 22nd November), but we reckon Parle’s restaurant is a winner any day of the year —game, set and match.
The hip, 3-floor British eatery and bar, serves crafty fare based on local ingredients. Situated in the new cultural hub of Greenwich Peninsula, some people might find comfort in the Garfunkel’s, Frankie & Benny’s and Five Guys run-of-the-mill safeguarded menus that loiter around nearby. Albeit Craft London has a bulletproof formula, thanks to Parle’s dedication to quality.
The establishment started off with a café/roastery in October 2014 and the restaurant, cocktail bar and shop followed in April of 2015. Dedication and passion shines through here — evident in the quality of production, and frequent collaboration with the latest experts, fanatics and obsessives, in order to create world-class products. This includes activities such as coffee roasting, fish smoking, bee keeping, meat curing, and fermentation of vegetables —heck, there’s even a kitchen garden that should looks like it’s straight out of Vogue Living.
In keeping with their motto of working closely with farmers and showcasing the best of British produce, the special menu that has been created to celebrate the ATP World Tour Finals continues this culinary excellence.
The menu priced at just £35.00 for a selection of snacks and three courses is available from every day from lunchtime through to dinner. Expect the menu to reflect Parle’s love of simple, home-cooked food, but spruced up to showcase the best of the best: think Jerusalem Artichoke soup with Beetroot Powder; Pork Belly with Grilled Apples and Fennel; and Brown Butter Ice Cream with Orange Curd and Toasted Oats.
There’s also a stunning bar with 360 degree views of Canary Wharf and The Thames, the perfect place to grab a drink at any point during the tournament. Or any time, for that matter. We don’t need Roger in town for this one.
