Old Spitalfields Market have gone and remixed their vibe in a fun, smart and loudly buzzy way by launching a monthly night market on the second Friday of every month, starting Friday 8th April. Because, let’s be honest — what’s not to love a good trinket browsing with a beer in hand, live music from knock-out bands in the background and a decent street food chow down in between? *count us in*.
If you’ve ever been to Brooklyn Bazaar in New York, the nocturnal flea market/indie music venue and food stop is great fun — and we reckon Spitalfields will be hot to trot on the heels of this fab idea. The evenings at Spitalfields will incorporate food, drink, fashion and even grooming events should you wish to continue to celebrate the arrival of the weekend with some stylin’ hair and nails.
Food options are amped up with a stellar selection of vendors such as Bleecker St Burger, Dirty Bagel, Sud Italia and Belpassi Bros. Thirsty shoppers can head to the dedicated Boilermaker Bar from DrinkUp.London — a bluesy, rock and rollin’ pop-up from the creative team behind events such as London Cocktail Week.
The market is also a great place to see some of London’s most creative and eclectic designers — a series of emerging art and design brands will be pitching up new stalls alongside resident retailers. These will include Daniela Rubino’s handmade minimal home wares, designed with raw and exciting materials and Bloom & Wild’s exquisitely made fresh flowers. Treat yo’self to a weekend present, hey?
Tunes from a music stage curated by Hoxton Radio will keep us all bopping away. April sees Sasha Brown, Lia Ikkos and Alice In The Cruel Sea all stepping up to the mic. .
Old Spitalfields Market stands proud as one of London’s most historical landmarks. They’ve jazzed it up with some modern glitz and are keen to help Londoner’s bring in the weekend with some fun, food and fashionable frolicking. And we do love a good frolic…
Old Spitalfields Night Market will run on the second Friday of every month, from 5.30-9pm. Complimentary entry. No bookings required.
