Whoever said that being a Vegan meant having to deprive yourself of the finer things in life? Well, The Great Yorkshire Vegan Festival is certainly out to prove otherwise, with a one day event to showcase the finest Vegan food and drink, clothing, jewellery and gifts, all in the iconic Leeds Town Hall.
On offer from the eclectic array of 180 stalls will be a plethora of foods that not even the most rampant carnivores would turn down, including sausages, burgers, Mediterranean and Asian inspired dishes. Meanwhile, for those who want to delve further into the Vegan lifestyle, there’ll be plenty of opportunity to try raw foods and vegan cheeses. There’ll also be plenty for dessert with a mouth-watering display of cupcakes, cream cakes and sweets, and to wash it all down, Vegan-friendly alcoholic and soft drinks.
The Great Yorkshire Vegan Festival will also host live music and entertainment, plus activities such as Vegan cookery demonstrations, talks and workshops. The activities are all designed to switch people on to the idea that it is possible to live a more ethical lifestyle affordably and without it being boring. You’ll also find stalls with Vegan-friendly clothing, gifts and jewellery, and information from animal welfare charities.
The festival is run 100% voluntarily in aid of animal welfare charities, and holds the accolade of being one of the largest animal friendly festivals in the UK.
