We recently brought you the news that US singer Kelis had teamed up with Le Bun to create a uniquely modern pop up, KelisxLeBun, at London’s Leicester House. If you didn’t manage to snaffle a seat there, however, all is not lost! The songstress-turned-chef will officially be bringing the collaboration to Standon Calling, where guests can launch their festival weekend a day early at The Welcome Feast: a street food extravaganza featuring a truly scrumptious line-up of food and drinks as well as music, shopping, games, a campfire AND a live Q&A with the star.
Taking place on Thursday July 28th, the feast will include the likes of Club Mexicana, Maltby Market legends Waffle On, Made Of Dough, Cheeky Italian, Mac Factory as well as Standon Calling’s own pop up by Ceru on Tour, who’ll be dishing up a special Levant mezze feast. The official launch to the festival will also feature a brand new Real Ale Bar curated by Hackney Brewery and Hertfordshire’s own Red Squirrel.
The three-day fest, nestled into the grounds of a private estate, boasts another impressive line-up this year: Suede, Jess Glynne, Everything Everything and The Hives will headline alongside Kelis, plus a whole host of breakthrough artists such as Yak, In Heaven, LeaLea and JONES.
The Welcome Feast goes from 4pm till late. Tickets are £20, under 12s go free. For more info visit standon-calling.com.
