KOJAWAN – a portmanteau of Korea, Japan and Taiwan and also — yep, you guessed it — a pan-Asian restaurant, has opened on the 23rd floor of the Hilton London Metropole overlooking Marble Arch.
London’s newest Izakaya (Japanese-style after work dining venue) has a creative menu devised by acclaimed chefs Bjorn Van Der Horst and Omar Romero which will include innovations such as popcorn prawns, Beef Tartar with pear, sea lettuce and beef tea, PanTajo (fluffy pancakes, with white chocolate and berries), and Fish waffles, with blueberries, black sesame, honey and whiskey ice cream.
KOJAWAN describes itself as “retro-futuristic” and this ethos applies just as much to the decor as the dining. Art installations, manga graphics and video displays all have their place throughout and drinks such as the K-slurpy (a beer with a frozen top) will be served from customised airline trollies.
KOJAWAN will be on soft launch from Monday 28th March until Friday 1st April 2016 inclusive with 50% off food at lunch and dinner. To take advantage of this “genuinely inauthentic” East Asian dining experience, you’ll have to book on 020 8088 0111
