A new pop up restaurant has just opened its doors in Brighton, joining the ever-increasing number of exciting places to eat this summer. MAW Pop Up Cafe is situated on Brighton Square in the heart of the South Lanes and is the brainchild of chef Mark Wadsworth. The restaurant focusses on using the finest locally sourced ingredients in order to create modern and indulgent dishes. The name MAW (meaning the gullet of a greedy person) is also Mark and wife Alex’s initials and gives you an insight into the sort of indulgent food that they serve.
The restaurant will be open daily for lunch and for dinner, Wednesday through Saturday. The evening service is based on a tasting menu format with standard and vegetarian menus to choose from (the team can also work around any dietary requirements if contacted in advance). Costing just £40 per head and working on a BYOB basis this has got to be one of the best value meals out in the city at the moment.
Maw Pop Up Cafe is now open at 14 Brighton Square in the Laines. For more information or to book, click here.
