Let down your hair Rapunzel-style at the Queen of Hoxton rooftop wigwam which is back for the Winter season, this time bringing to life the folklore of the Brother’s Grimm. In its most intricate redesign yet, the Queen of the East sprinkles the magic of fairytale upon even the most hardened imagination.
Step through the giant keyhole into a fantastical forest, where you could well feel like Hansel or Gretel, immediately dwarfed by the scalable centrepiece tree. Immerse yourself in a playground of gingerbread men, poison apples, leviathan books and don’t forget to beware the Big Bad Wolf. Copper chalices of mulled cocktails and marshmallow roasting are the order of the day. Another rooftop menu highlight is the ‘Lambkin & The Little Fish’, with tasteful turnip and bacon butter sides.
For the more hands-on, cherish your inner child with the enchanting Brother’s Grimm inspired activities and workshops that are on offer. Have a go at life drawing with Art Macabre, decorating gingerbread houses with Bee’s Bakery, Day of the Dead storytelling, Christmas wreath making and more.
Once Upon A Wigwam is open until the end of March 2016 but the unique activities sell out quickly so book early to avoid disappointment.
