Tincan Coffee Co. is the latest establishment to spring up on Southville’s bustling North Street.
South Bristolians with a caffeine habit will feel safe in the capable hands of Adam White and Jessie Nicolson, who have been curing hangovers at the likes of Shambala, Secret Garden Party, Wilderness and Latitude for the past five years. What began as a fleet of restored 1960s & 70s coffee trucks touring the UK festival circuit has now evolved into a proper sit-down café serving a range of specialist coffees and loose-leaf teas, as well as freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, ice blended frappés, breakfast pots, award-winning cakes, healthy salads and homemade seasonal sandwiches.
Tincan has a distinctly Brooklyn feel (exposed lightbulbs, a diner-style menu board and plenty of hipsters tapping away on their laptops) with an indie coffee list to match. Supplied by local artisan roaster Clifton Coffee, Tincans has its own seasonal espresso blend, which changes according to the latest coffee crops to hit the market, alongside a guest espresso blend and a rotating selection of single origin filter options.
We don’t think it will be long before we see more of these popping up over Bristol.
