The food lovers’ paradise, the Yorkshire Food & Drink Festival, returns for its sixth year in Millennium Square from 3rd – 5th June 2016. The event will see a tantalising array of stalls from some of Leeds’ finest restaurants recreating their signature dishes, alongside a selection of market stalls selling gastronomical delights from local producers including Yorkshire ales, cold-brew coffee and artisan cakes. On top of this, there’ll be culinary lessons for all at the daily cookery school demonstration from a variety of local chefs.
Restaurant pop-ups include lavish burger joint Almost Famous, Spanish Tapas cantina Bilbao, Moroccan, Lebanese and Indian street food from Kukoos, and the locally-sourced, free-range Yorkshire Hot Dog Company. Liquid refreshment will be provided from the local Kirkstall, Leeds and Empire breweries, alongside cocktail masters Boston Shakers. Plus, there’s even a pop-up Pimms bar, which could make even the rainiest of weekends feel like a summer party.
The culinary school will include lessons from The Carlton School of Food, Jamie’s Ministry of Food, and stints from local chefs including legendary Salvo’s Chef Director Gyp Dammone, who’ll be demonstrating his take on ‘Cucina Pavera.’
