Buy Soma no prescription USA FedEx shipping The bombastically strange title has managed to gross just under $5 million, providing the nine person team a healthy profit for their two years and seven months of hard work – and proving that games don’t have to be gritty shooters in order to succeed.
Unsurprisingly, of the 459,746 over 60% of those sales were on PC, with the PS4 version accounting for a healthy 32.6% of all sales and the Mac and Linux ports lagging behind at 5.5% and 0.8% respectively.
Yet adly not all the game’s numbers are so brilliant. While some sites were suitably impressed by Octodad’s absurdity, overall it was met with a fairly muted critical reception, only managing to score a middling 69 rating on review aggregate site Metacritic. It also turns out that four of the team ended up in the emergency room during the game’s development – maybe less flailing in the road next time guys?
Yet disappointing review scores aside, turning a $24,320 Kickstarter into a game that almost half a million people have played worldwide can only be seen as a resounding success.
Especially when its a game starring a dopey flailing octopus.
